City Meet
City Meet is a YMCA hosted meet held at the Bolton swim pool in Winston Salem. Each year is a different Disney theme where some teams deck out their team space/tent with decorations and dress up as the chosen Disney theme. Previous Disney themes have included Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and Cars. This is a very fun and festive meet for all ages! We’ve even had coaches and parents join in the afternoon session for individual events and relays!
Heat winners win prizes in each event and this meet also includes awards for the top 8 swimmers (and relays) in each event. Top 3 swimmers receive medals while 4th-8th receive ribbons. A fun, Disney themed trophy is also awarded to the high point boy and girl in each age group.
The morning session typically begins with warm ups at 8:00 am and a meet start of 9:30 am for the 10 and unders. The afternoon session typically begins with warm ups at 1:00 pm and a meet start of 2:45 pm for the 11 and overs.
